At a Sales meeting with my existing employer, where upper management was banging their fists about getting more sales, I suggested that if our pricing was more competitive and our staff was better trained we could bring our sales back up. They couldn't see the logic of that kind of thinking when they were the ones forcing the prices up and they didn't want to admit that their policies were driving customers away. The company was foreign-owned, like 80% of the electrical suppliers out there, and they didn't want to take my idea to the owners overseas. I attempted to explain how my customers were feeling, but they felt I was not being a 'team member' and thought it better to walk me to the door
